About Dr. Huntley

Dr. Huntley is a fellowship trained dual board-certified Otolaryngologist – Head & Neck Surgeon who specializes in sleep disorders and diseases impacting the nose, sinuses, voice, and swallowing.

After completing Otolaryngology residency, he pursued additional fellowship training at one of the few programs in the country allowing for both surgical and medical management of sleep disorders. This combined (Otolaryngology and Sleep Medicine) experience and board certification allows for a true comprehensive multidisciplinary approach to the evaluation and treatment of patients with sleep disorders.

Dr. Huntley can provide a complete evaluation and customize a treatment plane utilizing both medical and surgical options. The Jefferson Sleep Surgery group (Drs. Huntley and Boon) has extensive experience with Inspire upper airway stimulation, were the first in the area to perform this procedure and have the highest volume of any program internationally.

This clinical interest carries into the academic realm. Dr. Huntley is the Associate Residency Program Director for the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University and is actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. He also has a robust research interest. The research endeavors of the Jefferson Sleep Surgery group are supported by external funding and are among the most prolific in the country.

Because of this experience, clinical background, and research niche Dr. Huntley regularly teaches and lectures locally, nationally, and internationally on topics related to the management of patients with obstructive sleep apnea.

I strive to provide the highest quality care for each patient. By treating sleep disorders with cutting edge strategies and techniques, I can provide substantial improvements in quality of life and disease severity.  My academic interest involves researching new modalities for treatment of sleep apnea and other sleep disorders. What I learn in the research arena can be applied to the clinical setting allowing for the most up-to-date care.
